We have worked with Halo since its inception. We’ve transformed clubs, arenas, basements, warehouses, massive tents and sound stages into immersive Halo worlds.
We produced the Halo 3 launch, positioned as one of the biggest entertainment launches in history, shutting down 5th Ave in Manhattan for Master Chief’s arrival in the Warthog. For Halo 4, we transported fans into an otherworldly, 26th-century starship. We have created esports events and competitions for Halo, as well as celebrity red carpet media events.
ZED INK designed and produced Microsoft’s #MicrosoftEDU education event in NYC which included a webcast keynote and hands-on experience geared towards not only the press, but educators and education administrators. We cultivated a welcoming, classroom-esque environment for the keynote, and curated a gallery of commissioned student artwork leading into the keynote room. We commissioned Hyesu Lee, a local artist and teacher to illustrate the event branding which was featured in every attendee touchpoint, including invitations, credentials, and venue branding. Most notably, she illustrated parts of the keynote live and worked with a small team to paint a mural while attendees watched.
ZED is honored to have been a part of designing and producing one of the biggest gaming console launches in history. Over 3,500 gamers from around the world and 150 members of the media traveled to a secret location in the Mojave Desert for a 30 hour-long countdown to launch, culminating in console sales at midnight in a Best Buy pop-up. With 500 game setups, festival food and 24/7 entertainment, it was the consumer event of the year.
Microsoft Studios was a Pop-Up in Austin, TX as part of South by Southwest (SXSW). The Studio environment showcased the diversity of Microsoft, from Xbox and Windows, to emerging Microsoft Research technologies, focusing on the nexus between creativity and technology.
In competition with many events at the SXSW festival, we captured the attention of consumers and media with authentic experiences ranging from performances by Questlove and Childish Gambino, to a Surface Filmmaker panel where you could shoot in 6K with an EPIC DRAGON camera. Beyond that, interactive art installations, photo galleries, and networking spaces were established to encourage meaningful interactions between attendees.
