Swanky, Chill Windows Phone 8 Launch via ZED INK [News]
San Francisco, California, October 29th 2012 – ZED INK created and produced a media keynote and hands-on brand immersion in just six weeks from pitch to completion for Microsoft’s launch of the new Windows Phone 8. The much anticipated event was attended by several hundred tech and lifestyle journalists who described the mood and tone of the launch as: “fun and cool,” “swanky,” “chill,” and that it “conveyed a cohesive story about the overall meaning of the phone to people’s lives.”
Bill Graham Civic Auditorium — a place usually host to touring rock shows — was completely transformed into a simple and intimate space with dynamic animations relayed by a huge automated LED screen that split into three moving monoliths echoing the phone’s UI.
Following presentations from Joe Belfiore, Steve Ballmer and actress Jessica Alba, the stage backdrop flew out to reveal a branded gastro-pub featuring delicious food, beverages and device bars for one-to-one demonstrations of the latest software interface and killer apps.
Some of the team jumped into the rapid turnaround program straight from ZED INK’s hugely successful Microsoft Company Meeting event. They hit the ground running, brought everything to an incredibly successful culmination, and garnered incredibly positive media coverage.
